Alabama Observations, Post Spill

The image below was taken on Hwy 90/Causeway headed East.  I do believe this is oil.  As I’ve known this bay my entire life and I  used to live on Mobile Bay and it never looked like this before.

Daphne, Alabama Why are these Coniferous, Evergreens rusty red?

Someone is going to have to explain to me why the pine trees have turned rusty red.  Evergreen means FOREVER GREEN!

All of a sudden since the oil spill came to the Gulf Coast we have the most beautiful tree colors.  Something like you would see up in Maine.  This is so bizarre.
