Fenugreek

When you mix fenugreek seeds with water they expand. They gelatinous goo is called mucilage. This mucilage may be soothing to a soar throat or to irritated tissue. Also known to help with minor indigestion. Adds bulk to stool, helping to alleviate constipation or diarrhea.

Often found in Indian curries. Interestingly enough today most of the U.S. supply is used to create an imitation maple flavor.

Fenugreek Tea: 2 teaspoons mashed fenugreek seeds, 8 oz. boiling water, simmer 10 minutes. Enjoy 1-3 cups per day.

Blends well with: sugar, honey, lemon, anise, Peppermint and more…..
