Tell FDA: Label GMO Food!
Labels are required on genetically modified (GMO) foods in Europe, Japan, China, and dozens of other countries around the world. While Americans are exposed to these risky, untested foods in thousands of products on our store shelves, the U.S. remains one of the only countries in the world that does not require GMO labeling.
Doctors and scientists warn that GMO foods may cause unexpected allergies, nutritional deficiencies, harmful toxic effects, and harm the environment. These experimental foods contain genetic material from viruses, bacteria, and other non-food sources that have never before been part of the human diet. Moreover, contamination from GMOs is threatening our right to safe, organic and natural foods that do not contain untested, engineered genes.
